Cooperations

EGMUS works in close cooperation with European and international organisations active in the fields of museum policy, cultural statistics and research. These collaborations support the exchange of expertise, contribute to the development of shared standards, and help to strengthen the comparability and visibility of museum statistics across Europe.

Through its partnerships, EGMUS connects statistical work on museums with broader cultural, political and methodological contexts. Cooperation partners contribute complementary perspectives, expertise and data, and support the ongoing development of indicators, surveys and analytical frameworks.

Below is a selection of key organisations with which EGMUS collaborates on a regular basis.

EUROSTAT is the statistical office of the European Union and plays a central role in developing and harmonising European statistics. Cooperation with EUROSTAT provides an important reference framework for methodological standards, data quality and comparability, and supports the alignment of museum-related statistics with broader European statistical systems.
