In November 2026, the EGMUS Plenary Meeting will take place in Warsaw, Poland, hosted by the National Institute of Museums (NIM). The meeting will bring together representatives from across the EGMUS network for an intensive exchange on current developments in European museum statistics.

Proposed Focus Areas for Country Reports

As in previous years, the country reports are intended to be structured around two thematic focus areas, which will also frame the discussions during the meeting:

  • Accessibility, Inclusiveness & Societal Impact
How can accessibility, participation, and the societal impact of museums be measured and compared across different national contexts?
  • Risk Management & Resilience
How can the status of risk management and measures to strengthen resilience in museums be captured and assessed?

Contributions & Exchange

The plenary meeting will feature a range of presentations and country reports addressing these themes. Participants are invited to contribute their data, indicators, and methodological approaches, and to share experiences, challenges, and perspectives from their respective contexts.

The meeting aims to foster exchange, enhance comparability, and further develop shared approaches within the EGMUS network.

We very much look forward to welcoming participants to Warsaw and to continuing the collaborative exchange.
